Has Roseanne Barr Gone Nuts? This is Too Weird!

Oh my… I think Roseanne Barr has completely lost it or at least gone nuts!

As many folks know, Roseanne Barr now lives on the Big Island and is starting a reality TV show pretty soon.

I wonder about the “reality” that we are gonna see on this show with clips like this that were posted recently!

This stuff is just over the top!

She has admitted that she uses weed medicinally… I have to wonder what else she might be on!

Earl’s Garage Robotics Club Accepting Participants

Media Release:

If you’re a kid – or the parent of one – who enjoys hands-on learning and working as a team, consider joining Earl’s Garage Robotics Club.

Girls and boys, ages 7 to 18, are eligible to join the Earl’s Garage Robotics Club; no experience necessary and no fee to join. Club members will learn how to design and build a functioning robot that will perform specific tasks and will enter competitions with those robots.

The two different competitive challenges are Botball and MATE Big Island Regional ROV. The Botball challenge is a game played by robots on a large table top. The MATE challenge simulates real situations encountered underwater by remotely operated vehicles (ROV). This year’s MATE challenge revisits the challenges ROVs faced during the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

According to the Earl’s Garage project leader, Katherine DuBose, projects such as robotics are far more attractive to kids and help them directly experience the value of science and math through hands-on projects.  “Robotics challenge keiki and help them develop the ability to problem solve, think critically, and work as part of a team. Robotics also draws “big kids,” adults who serve as advisors and mentors, and exposes the younger kids to the world of work,” said DuBose.

The Earl’s Garage Robotics Club meets after school on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at Earl’s Garage in the Kamuela Business Center. To join, please call Katherine at 885-6777 to schedule an introductory class.

Earl’s Garage is a project of Friends of the Future, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which facilitates community-led change, perpetuates cherished cultural anchors, and improves health-related quality of life for the Hawai`i Island community. It’s Hinamatsuri! (Girls Day)

Happy Girls Day or Hinamatsuri!

My wife is half Japanese so she does the “Girls Day” and “Boys Day” celebration each year.

My son gave them three layered mochi (pictured above) and then for the last few weeks my wife and son have been making these hair clips for all the girls in his class.
