I’m Going to Run for Hawaii County Council

After sitting around and watching the shenanigans of our own Hawaii County Council. I have decided to run for the County Council this year.

At noon today, I will be submitting my papers to run for Hawaii County Council District 5 seat.

Wish me all the best of luck and April Fools.

  1. Dear Hawaii:

We are trying to do the good for Hawaii State with our OTEc technology. DSI-OTEC is a game changer will imporve the Hawaii economy and employment opportunity.

DSI-OTEC is very useful technology for the deepwater oil and gas development by providing nonstop power supply to the grid. Enormous amount of power is available and can be tapped cost effectively using the deepwater subsea technology. DSI has the proprietary and international patent pending in this invention. We have developed a 13 MW power unit, a 100 MW power unit and a 1000 MW power unit. These are feasible and we have done the engineering details for the OTEC engine and the supporting structures. The cost of electricity production is $0.14 per kWh. It could be made cheaper than that if we can accommodate our system within the FPSO or production platform. It occupies less space and most of the components are underwater and independent. There is a whole lot of subsea technology, flow technology and equipment design has been developed by DSI with our own funding. Now we are introducing this valuable technology to the offshore oil and gas in the OTC 2010 conference on May 4th at 10:30 AM, in the OTEC session. OTC is supporting renewable marine energy this year. One of the key notes morning break fast presentation is join the ocean marine energy in OTC 2010. Using green energy for the platform oil and gas application is a noble idea and the Government of President Obama will appreciate.

There is no renewable energy that is profitable except our DSI-OTEC design. DSI-OTEC as a cost-effective design for clean energy has large game to play in the over all energy market. It is good Investor could recognize us in the early stage and support us.

DSI-OTEC can provide, clean energy, clean water and air-conditioning. The environmental effects are very minimal. The conventional OTEC transports large volume of cold water from 3000 ft below to the top to mix with the warm water in the surface and this creates environmental effect. We are not moving the water from bottom to top. We are moving only the thermal energy from top to bottom. There are huge heat transfers that occur out of which a small portion is used for energy transfer to produce electricity. In the near future, you would see 100s of the DIS-OTEC plants will be installed. However, in the long term may be 1000s of them could be installed. That creates some impact on the global warming, storm controlling and environmental issues. We are not yet there. Installing a few of them has no immediate environmental effect. Mother Nature has large potential and the energy available is unlimited.

“We know the country that harnesses the power of clean, renewable energy will lead the 21st century. And yet, it is China that has launched the largest effort in history to make their economy energy efficient. We invented solar technology, but we’ve fallen behind countries like Germany and Japan in producing it. New plug-in hybrids roll off our assembly lines, but they will run on batteries made in Korea. Well I do not accept a future where the jobs and industries of tomorrow take root beyond our borders –and I know you don’t either. It is time for America to lead again. – President Obama, addressing a joint session of the U.S. Congress, February 24th, 2009

  2. Its about time.
    Aloha,
    Keahi

  3. Skip the preliminaries and just run for mayor… ;)
