Ziplining at World Botanical Gardens with Dave Haggen!!!

Last weekend I had the opportunity to go Ziplining at the World Botanical Gardens Zip Isle.

Not only did I have an opportunity to go… I had the opportunity to go with a friend, Dave Haggen, that I had not seen in many years.  This was truly special for me beyond words can even speak or what I can even really blog about and I really want to say thanks to those involved.

Mahalo to the folks at World Botanical Gardens and Zip Isle for providing this experience for me and Dave.

We started out the day by checking in at the World Botanical Gardens check-in kiosk.

After that they lead us down a short path to a place where they debriefed us on what we were about to take part in.

After the debriefing, we boarded a bus and headed up to the zipline adventure site.

We arrived at our destination and then we began our tour of 8 Ziplines.

Most of the Ziplines were about 400 – 500 feet as they spanned this valley of trees and jungles and a river bed.

I enjoyed this experience spending time with my friend who I hadn’t seen for a long time.

There is a lot to be told about the whole story… but I’ll keep that between Dave and I as I was just stoked to see him for the first time in a long time.

I was able to catch this video of him riding on the 2nd longest dual zipline on the Big Island… I can’t believe I’m not fat enough to have this zipline carry me all the way to the end like it did him!

I think it’s pretty cool Big Island residents and tourist have so many cool new things popping up and around us!

Dave and I also got to go on the Umauma Ziplines that are close to the WBG ones as well.  I’ll be blogging about that closer to their opening.

Still waiting to see if some hang gliding company will pop up around here.
