I love it that kids on the Big Island are starting to rip it up on the B-Boy/Breakdance scene.

Here is a short clip of “Philosophy” ripping it up across the Big Island.

Jessica… GO BIG!!!

From Hawaii 24/7:

Jessica Ferracane, of Irondog Communications, is riding in the “Go Big or Go Home” 150-mile National Multiple Sclerosis Society cycling fundraiser Aug. 8-9 to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis research.

Ferracane, owner and president of the Mountain View public relations firm, was diagnosed in January with MS – and is coping very well! Because she’s doing so well, and so many with MS are not, she said she is eager to join the ride and raise funds for MS research.

While Ferracane set a goal of $1,000, she quickly exceeded that and now is gunning to double it.

It’s official: I’m biking in the 150-mile “Go Big Or Go Home” Big Island Multiple Sclerosis fundraiser, the weekend of August 8&9 to raise money to support MS research. The ride is from Hilton Waikoloa Village to Hawi the first day, and from HWV to Kailua-Kona the second day. WHEW!

Every hour of every day, someone is diagnosed with MS. That’s why I registered for the Bike MS Tour, and why I’m asking you to support my fund raising efforts with a tax-deductible donation.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is dedicated to creating a world free from MS but they can’t do it without our help. It’s faster and easier than ever to support this cause that’s so important to me. Simply click on the link at the bottom of this message.

Any amount, great or small, helps to make a difference in the lives of people with MS. I appreciate your support and look forward to letting you know how I do.

If you would like more information about the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, how proceeds from the MS Bike Tour are used, or the other ways you can get involved in the fight against MS, please visit nationalmssociety.org.

With warm regards, and mahalo nui loa for your support!

Help Decide Which Hawaii Nui Brew We Should Drink on Saturday

This coming Saturday, August 8th at Big Island Pizza, we are having a second meet and greet to talk about the internet and just talk story in general.

Hawaii Nui Brew has been gracious enough to pitch in some beer for this little meet and greet… There is nothing better to wash down a slice of good local pizza then with a cold local beer.

Now I have to figure out which of these beers would be best with Pizza?

Anyone want to help out and choose what beer I pick up from the Brewing Plant before I meet these folks on Saturday?

Hawaii Lager

Hapa Brown Ale

West Hawaii Today’s Popshot at the FBI Blogs?

I’d like to point out RJ Mendoza’s blog posting this morning “Parasites, Perspective, and Aunty Felicia

RJ Writes:

…Is there a particular reason why this column is in today’s print version of West Hawaii Today?

Should I be quoting? Ah hell, I’ll quote this piece:

Why? A big reason is what economists call free-riding. Practically anyone can start a Web site and get software that snags fresh online news from those who originate it. Web site owners pluck the freshest, most interesting reports and quickly post condensed rewrites. That costs them little, and they then surround the rewrites with cut-rate ads.

I find this hilarious!  I find it even more hilarious that I actually said that sometime this week that WHT would be taking a popshot at bloggers in an email I made to someone on the BIPC because of my REED FLICKINGER POST shortly after the BIPC Meeting.

First Day of Kindergarten

Today is my son’s first day at Kamehameha.

He has been looking forward to this day for a long time

I really did brush his hair before we left this morning… he’s just got bushwhacker hair like his father.

And he’s off!

I’m stoked that the school serves a well balanced nutritious breakfast for the kids.
