Emily speaks

Greenwell: I still hope we vote this down… but even if that does not happen, I think we will be stronger for it. We need to get back to working to get the stimulus money.

Onishi: What I want is teamwork. A reporter spoke to me and said that is not possible and I said that is what I want.

In November when we met

Dominic speaks

Mr. Enriques is a professional volley ball coach . sports is a game, but county government is not a game…

we don’t sit around a campfire and sing kumbaya.

but to seek to reorganize because we are not agreeing with the mayor position is wrong; we can’t have a government that is about rubber stamping what the mayor or majority want.

And I want to say there has been much said about the budget –

Brenda regarding Sunshine laws

Brenda: What is the official time of close of business in Hilo?

Clerk: The agenda is required to be out a certain number of days before

discussion of sunshine law issues

J Yoshimoto:

What are the sunshine rule issues? we need to discuss this point. What we need to do is state who we spoke

I am very disturbed about what I am hearing. I did not get this revised agenda until Friday afternoon.

I happened to speak to Clerk Kenny Goodenow on Friday . He told me there were plans to do some reorganizing. but he said he and J Yoshimoto were opposed to doing this.

Now I understand that J and Kenny went to Pete’s office on ……. what day was this visit you J and Kenny met with Pete?

Clerk Kenny interrupts

I want to speak to Mr. Yagong’s qualifications. He has the educational background and experience and has more know

open government is what we should have –
