The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu conducted Oversees Absentee Voting (OAV) field registration in Hilo, the capital city of Hawaii, last May 16. Hilo is known as Big Island for having the largest land area among the other counties – Oahu, Maui, Kauai – in the state of Hawaii.

The OAV Team, composed of Consul Lourdes Tabamo, Ms. Emily Reyes and Ms. Rochelle Natividad Chen registered 273 Filipinos. The OAV Team accommodated all Filipinos who came for the registration as they could not return the next day for reasons of work, family, and expenses.
