Warrant Sweep on Maui Nets 66

U.S. Marshals Hawaii Fugitive Task Force Officers, Hawaii State Sheriffs, Maui Police Officers, Hawaii County Police Officers, and Kauai County Police Officers conducted a joint fugitive warrant sweep on the island of Maui.

During the 3-day mission, sixty-six wanted fugitives were arrested clearing a hundred-four outstanding warrants. Those who were apprehended were wanted for various violent crimes which include drug offenses, sex offenses, robbery, and probation violation.

During the course of the mission, the following fugitives were apprehended, most notably 49 year-old Alan M. Santos. On September 5, Santos was arrested in Kahului on a $250,000 felony warrant for one count of sexual assault in the first degree and two counts of sexual assault in the third degree. The alleged victim in this case is under the age of 14. Santos is currently being held at Maui Community Correctional Center (MCCC) pending further court proceedings.

On September 4, Bill Warner Manuel, Jr. from Wailuku was arrested without incident at Waiale Road in Wailuku for ten outstanding bench warrants. The warrants were for probation violation, criminal contempt of court and failure to appear. Bail for all warrants netted $59,800. Manuel is being held at MCCC.

The U.S. Marshals Hawaii Task Force officers who participated in the collaborative mission consist of law enforcement officers from Maui County Police Department, Kauai County Police Department, Hawaii County Police Department and Hawaii State Sheriffs.

3 Day Fugitive Task Force Mission Leads to 67 Arrests on the Big Island

Over the course of 3 days, the U.S. Marshals Hawaii Fugitive Task Force conducted a collaborative arrest warrant sweep. Deputy U.S. Marshals, Hawaii County Police Officers, and Hawaii State Sheriffs conducted a joint fugitive round-up blanketing the island of Hawaii.

Sixty-seven wanted fugitives were arrested with 91 federal and state warrants cleared. Those who were apprehended were wanted for various violent crimes which include drug offenses, sex offenses, robbery, and probation violations. The three-day mission represents the commitment of law enforcement to reduce violent crime through a multiagency approach.

During the course of the mission, the following fugitives were apprehended, most notably 25 year-old Joseph Narzisi from Kailua-Kona. On August 29, 2012, Narzisi was apprehended for three criminal contempt of court warrants. During the arrest, law enforcement officials recovered methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia at the residence at which time a search warrant was obtained. Narzisi faces additional charges. In 2005, Narzisi was convicted of jumping bail and burglary in the first degree.

On August 27, 2012, an arrest warrant was issued for 45 year-old Charles Bruce Kanouff. Kanouff was arrested the next day and charged with one count of Sexual Assault in the 2nd degree. Bail was fixed at $15,000.

On August 8, 2012, an arrest warrant was issued for career criminal Patrick Enos. Enos, 38, was arrested on August 29, 2012, and charged with theft of credit card and unauthorized possession of confidential personal information. Bail was fixed at $6,000. Enos has an extensive criminal history dating back to 1991. He has been arrested and convicted of various crimes to include multiple robbery and felony drug charges.

Operation Hukilau Nets 56 Arrests and 74 State Felony Warrants Cleared

U.S. Marshals Adam Walsh Task Force Officers, Hawaii Fugitive Task Force Officers, and the State Sheriffs teamed up with the City and County of Honolulu Department of the Prosecuting Attorney Investigators and conducted Operation Hukilau Elua.

Operation Hukilau Elua began Tuesday, June 19, 2012 and concluded yesterday. The five day Operation was an investigative and arrest effort designed to assist the City and County of Honolulu Prosecutors Office in executing sex offender and domestic violence warrants. Law enforcement officials extended the scope of their work by executing felony arrest warrants for crimes such as assault, robbery, burglary, theft, weapons violations, drug offenses, and probation and parole violations. A collaborative effort amongst twenty investigators resulted in the arrest of 56 individuals and 74 State felony warrants cleared.
