Hawaii Island Prom Dress Drive to Help Local Ladies go to Prom

Friends of the Children’s Justice Center are having a Prom Dress Drive to help local young ladies go to a prom. Donate a formal dress to give a local high school student an opportunity to join their friends at a memorable High School event and do so with confidence.

Collecting new and gently used prom/party dresses & evening gowns, shoes, jewelry & accessories.

Collection Location, Hilo Naniloa Hotel, 93 Banyan Dr. Hilo, HI:

  • Friday, March 11th 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM
  • Saturday, March 12th 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM & 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM
  • Sunday, March 13th 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM

  1. Good news is good. Good things being done that makes a real difference in somebody’s life—even if just for “one night”—is good news.

  2. Years back I’d hanai daughters whose lives were harsh, very harsh. Couple of the gals got their prom dresses this way. It was transforming for each of them. To have gowns, real gowns that fit to wear for prom. These young women who had had such struggles, felt for that night like a million bucks. Those gowns made them feel better about themselves, their lives and for i night at least everything, everything was mo’ bettah. Thank-you for posting this and reminding me of a special time I cherish.
