Big Island Police Charge Hilo Man in Burglaries and Possession of Firearm

Hawaii Police Department charged a Hilo man in connection with an investigation into burglaries, as well as the possession of a firearm.

Kawika Larinaga-Napihaa, Male 22, of Hilo, was charged with two counts of Burglary 1st Degree, two counts of Theft II Degree, and two firearms charges, bail set at $96,000.

Larinaga-Napihaa was initially arrested in a business parking lot off of Makaala Street in Hilo on Wednesday, September 13, 2012 at approx. 2:30 pm along with two other suspects after it was discovered that they were in possession of a firearm within a vehicle. A second firearm reportedly stolen in a Hilo burglary was also recovered from the vehicle, along with a laptop stolen in a Kona burglary.
