Responding to a 12:43 a.m. call, Kaʻū patrol officers determined that the victim was operating a 1987 Ford sedan and traveling southbound on Highway 11 midway between the 48- and 49-mile markers when he ran off the left side of the road, lost control and overturned.

We met Clint just once in Kapoho but he seemed like a fun person and he loved his friends here in Hawaii very much!
I spent a couple of summers at the Corfman house in Urbana, Ohio. Clint “Bunkers” Corfman was an all around good guy. Clint lived his life on his terms. The world would be a better place if more people followed his lead.
I knew Clint as a young boy coming into the local hardware store with his dad, crushing on my blonde coworker, Cathy, lol. And then several years later became reaquainted with the most kind, gentle, loving soul I have ever met. he quickly became a part of my family and I had all the love and reect for him that I did my own children, he was a great friend to my son, Ash, and we all miss him horribly. Clint, may your soul soar to wherever you thought it should go, we love you
Clint was our neighbor from the time he was born till he moved to Florida, He was the sweetiest little boy and grew into a handsome man, we are sick to hear about this, he will be so missed by everyone who knew him, now he is with his Dad, Ned who was also a great man !!!
Clint was a loyal friend who exuded nothing but love and kindness. He will be so deeply missed.
I knew Clint for about six years, met him here in Tampa. What a loss. He was peaceful, thoughtful, considerate. He helped me move into a 3-bedroom house in South Tampa, worked hard all day in the heat, and refused payment for his help. He also gave me opportunities to perform my original music at his Glass Onion Studio on several occasions, and made the best sweet potato pie I ever ate, made with all raw ingredients. He will be missed tremendously here in the Tampa bay area, and a candlelight vigil is planned at 12th and Washington downtown Tampa at 8 pm Saturday, August 11th. I know I’ll see him again when I reach the next level of this mystery of life in the spirit. Peace and love to all who knew and loved him.
