The Hawai‘i County Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce the opening of Hale Hālāwai Pavilion in Kailua-Kona for July Fourth festivities.
Food booths, live entertainment and a children’s bouncing castle will be offered at the popular Ali‘i Drive park on Wednesday, July 4. The food concessions and bouncing castle will be available starting at 3 p.m., while the live entertainment will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Hale Hālāwai is a spectacular viewing site for both the Fourth of July Parade and nighttime fireworks show, which is sponsored through a combination of Hawai‘i County funding and generous donations from area businesses and individuals.
The parade, set for 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., passes the park, while the 8 p.m. fireworks display will originate from a barge stationed in Kailua Bay.
