Big Island Film Festival Offering Participants Discounts on Room, Air and Car Rentals

In addition to movie magic under Hawaii’s stars, the Big Island Film Festival makes travel to the events easier with special rates for attendees on airfares, car rental and room accommodations at The Fairmont Orchid, Hawai‘i, during BIFF 2012 May 24-28, 2012.

AIRFARE DISCOUNTS

Alaska Airlines has joined the ‘ohana of BIFF supporters, offering with a 7% discount fare on travel May 20-31, 2012 from any US or Canadian city to the Big Island, including direct flights from San Francisco Bay area and Seattle, WA to Kona International Airport.  To take advantage of the discount, refer to the following information when visiting www.alaskaair.com:

The Big Island “Talk Story” Film Festival is a celebration of narrative filmmaking, Memorial Weekend, May 24-28.  Events include free family films under the stars at The Shops at Mauna Lani, daytime movies and nightly double features at The Fairmont Orchid, Hawai‘i Plantation Estate (self-parking validated), stellar social events, networking opportunities, celebrity receptions, awards brunch and closing night “Best of the Fest.”  This final night event includes a fundraiser for the Hawaii Island Food Basket and silent auction for the Wounded Warrior Project supporting America’s veterans.  Best of the Fest is a mini-festival in itself, spotlighting a top name celebrity Hawaiian music concert and audience-voted Best Feature and Best Short of BIFF 2012.
