A new Big Island website started tonight called BigIslandNow.Com
I’m not sure exactly who is behind the site but I do know that former Hawaii Tribune Herald journalist Dave Smith is contributing to it.
When I asked about this new site a few weeks ago, I was told by “Denise” of Maui Now of a similar site the following:
Damon – BigIslandNow.com is not Dave’s personal news blog. It is backed by a statewide multimedia company with outlets on Maui and Kauai. Mauinow.com is one of the largest online news sites on that island and often has scoops picked up by Oahu TV stations…
I’ve always felt that the more websites and blogs on the Big Island provides more information to all of us in general.
I wish the best to this new website BigIslandNow and hope other folks will understand the importance of getting content and information online for all of us to benefit from in the long run.
I think we all realize the newspapers are dying!
