The late Herb Kawainui Kāne was honored as 2011 Kama’aina of the Year at this year’s Historic Hawaiʻi Foundation event for his contributions in the revival of our Hawaiian culture. The event was held October 22 at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel’s Monarch Room.
