More good news for the folks in the tourism industry:

Bargain fares to Hawaii are available from 15 August as Australia’s newest carrier reveals its plans. 
Strategic – soon to be rebranded Air Australia – has received formal US Department of Transport approval to operate between Australia and the US, freeing the carrier to commence marketing of flights which commence on December 14. 
Strategic will offer direct services to Honolulu from Brisbane and Melbourne.  

Launch fares from $499* one-way ex Brisbane and $599* one-way ex Melbourne, inclusive of all taxes, to Honolulu services went on sale from 9am AEST Monday on the airline’s web site www.flystrategic.com until sold out.
