Big Island Police Release Most Recent List of “Hawai’i Island’s Most Wanted”

The most recent edition of the Crime Stoppers television program “Hawai’i Island’s Most Wanted” highlights a 31-year-old Ka’ū man wanted for a domestic incident, a 32-year-old Puna man wanted for questioning about a sex crime and drug operation, and a 31-year-old Kona man wanted for escape.

The new episode begins airing Friday, July 22.

In it, police ask for the public’s help in locating 31-year-old Nathan Cakin of Pāhala, who is wanted in connection with a domestic confrontation on July 3. Cakin is described as Filipino, 5-foot-9, about 250 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

The television program also asks for help in locating a 32-year-old Puna man wanted for questioning in connection with investigations into a reported sexual assault and a marijuana growing operation. Oran C. Kita was last known to have lived in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision. He is described as being of Japanese-Caucasian descent, 5-foot-10, 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

In this latest edition of “Hawai’i Island’s Most Wanted,” Officer Patrick Menino also asks for help in locating a 31-year-old Kona man wanted for escape. Sky Kamai Lewis failed to return to the Hale Nani community-based program on March 30 after violating terms of an extended work furlough in Kona. He is described as Hawaiian, 5-foot-8, 175 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

Police ask that anyone with information about any of these cases call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. “Hawai’i Island’s Most Wanted” is a project of Crime Stoppers Hilo, Inc., which is a partnership of the business community, the media and the police. It was inspired by the national TV show, “America’s Most Wanted.” The program airs on Na Leo O Hawai’i Community Television Channel 54 on Sundays at 5 p.m. and Fridays at 5:30 p.m. It also airs intermittently on Channel 53.
