Wow… Aron Abrams passes away on the Big Island and NO one notices who he is!
Big Island police are investigating the Christmas Day discovery of a body in West Hawai’i as a coroner’s inquest.
At 7:45 a.m. Saturday (December 25), police and fire personnel responded to a report of a body at a Waikoloa resort.
The body was identified as 50-year-old Aron Abrams of Los Angeles.
An autopsy to determine the exact cause of death is scheduled for Friday.
Detectives from the Area II Criminal Investigations Section are continuing the investigation.

That’s my “source” for hearing of the alleged Heart Attack… however, I can’t verify that… and therefore won’t say that’s the cause at this point.
FYI – It’s been out on twitter since the 26th that I know of and when writer Jeff Cohen give condolences… then I’ll believe it.
Why do you folks in the newspapers think you can break news faster then twitter just amazes me.

I have just learned of the passing of a delightful & talented man, Aron Abrams, who passed away suddenly at the age of 50. RIP dear friend.

I also just checked a back message from about 15 hours ago that stated this:
Between us: Hear thru grapevine there was a suicide at the Fairmont *but* no confirmation, so pls don’t quote me! May not be same incident.
Damon, Basically, not true. With the police not talking, his family not returning my phone calls and his agency closed over the holiday, it took time to verify he was THAT Aron Abrams. Can’t go to print on “I think it was him, has the same name.” Standard of proof a little higher than that.
@John, Where did I say “I think it was him, has the same name.”
Because his family was not returning your phone calls… does not mean that I couldn’t have heard from another source.
I’ve also now “heard” it was because of a heart attack… even though the autopsy won’t be done till Friday.
P.S. And thanks for telling me what I can and “Can’t” do on my blog… :roll:
Many folks have blogged about things that aren’t true only to make a correction the next day.
Still to this day folks go to “print” on how Kennedy was killed… or Obama wasn’t born in Hawaii.
