[...] 11:05 a.m., the estimated time the first wave was supposed to hit Hilo. We were all glued to the KGMB9 live feed from there, and saw how the ocean oscillated back and forth with tremendous power over the next [...]
There’s no such thing as a “false alarm” for a tsunami. We all saw the effects – however mild – of this one (online and on tv). Fortunately it was not as severe as it could have been. I hope no one thinks of this as the tsunami that didn’t happen.
Thank God it was an “uneventful” tsunami for Hawaii islands!
