I realize that as I’m trying to piece together a lot of this chapter in my families life, that I’m missing great details. Even in just scanning parts of this 22 page diary I’m leaving lots of stuff out just for the sake of a lot of privacy issues.

The parts of your site with the scans of the diary are, IMO, the best parts. Your mom’s feelings and impressions were fresh when she wrote them, and this is evident in her typed copies.
