
Roundabout Expert Michael Wallwork
The meeting date for the next KPAG (Keaau Pahoa Advisory Group) has been changed to Wednesday, October 21. It will begin at 6:00 PM, with doors open at 5:30.
The meeting topic will be Part One of our traffic discussions for the Alternatives. At this meeting, we will look at ways to convert the side streets into four way intersections, and we will look at the subject of roundabouts. Our invited guest is Mr. Michael Wallwork, one of the world’s leading experts in using roundabouts to improve safety.
In addition, we are pleased to invite KPAG Members on a field trip of the corridor along with the HDOT , the project engineers and Mr. Wallwork. This field trip will start at Keaau Elementary School at 4:00. There will be a safety briefing and the bus will leave at 4:15 SHARP. The field trip is meant primarily for KPAG members. It will be opened on a first come, first served basis to members of the public ONLY after all KPAG members have been accommodated.
