  Open Letter To Damon Tucker,

  Because you feign ignorance of why you were suspended on Punaweb and apparently have now added me to your list of cyber stalking victims I will take a few minutes and explain some realities to you.  You have been asking for my input publicly and I reluctantly will meet your request here and now.

  You were removed from Punaweb, after numerous warnings and appeals, because of your bad habit of attacking members and appointing yourself as the web site bouncer.  You exceeded the hospitality of Punaweb many months ago and I tried and tried to accommodate you but you are not a person who can be controlled or reasoned with or accommodated.

  My method of managing Punaweb has been “Assume the best and ask questions.”  Your methodology is “Assume the worst and attack.”   Not compatible.

  Sometimes you attack the guilty and sometimes you attack the innocent.  You  don’t seem to care which is which.  Your presence on Punaweb lasted much longer than it should have.  I apologize to our members for not removing you sooner.

  You are an intelligent person with incredible drive.  You do make meaningful contributions from time to time.  However you tend to dominate discussions with a overwhelming need for attention and the discussions quickly become discussions about you.  In managing Punaweb you have taken up more of my time than the next 1,000 members combined.  I think you are proud of that.  Punaweb is a non profit effort.  I donate my time.

  For you to return to Punaweb all I required was that to come to me in person and privately  listen to what I say here publicly.  You declined.  You said you were too busy making 400 posts a day on the internet and had lost interest in Punaweb anyway.  It seems by your ongoing complaints that that is not true.  My offer to restore your access is withdrawn.

  Regarding Friends of Puna’s Future (FoPF):  you were a charter dues paying member and we appreciate that.  At renewal you declined to renew amid complaints that you were not getting enough attention.  Frankly we had a problem with you.  You appointed yourself as a spokesman for FoPF at the transportation meetings you were part of and you did this without discussion or authorization by the Board of Directors.  It’s kind of like you might join AAA and suddenly decide you are a spokesman for the American Automobile Association at transportation meetings.  Not appropriate.  We did not want to disclaim you and embarrass you at that time.  As a spokesman you were ineffective.  You could still rejoin FoPF.  Up to you.  We do not exclude anyone but we will not cater to your demands for attention.

  I understand that this will not placate your need for the spot light  and approval.  I resign myself to being a focus of one of your several ongoing vendettas.    Your goal now  appears to be to gain attention for yourself and sabotage any personal, business or community efforts I am engaged in just as you have done and continue to do to others.

  Until you get bored and locate another object of your disapproval I will be in your sights and you will spare no effort to attack me, my motives, my business and I expect  my family will be next .  Watch your step.  Your stalking of people on the internet will get you into trouble some day.

  Despite all this, I do not wish you harm.  I understand you have a problem.  I would hope that you could find more constructive ways to serve your interests.  The FBI Blogs is a great idea.  If you could develop some self control and social insights you would be better served.  I am not your enemy, but to be very clear you should understand that I am not your friend either.

  Do not expect more from me than I provide here.  I quite frankly do not have enough time in my day to accommodate you.    Any additional questions of me will be unanswered.   Any communications with FoPF can be made through our web site (www.fopf.org) (nice try to pimp FoPF here…LOL…  I love being able to insert stuff) Knowing you we cannot guarantee all questions and demands will be answered but we will do our best.

  Now, how about getting off your keyboard and finding a job or spending more time with your son?

  To the public who reads this: You are free to comment, of course, but do not expect me to be drawn into a debate or exchange with Damon or his surrogates.  I have other things to do.

  I applied to the State Transportation Committee and the application asked of any groups I belonged too.

  At the time… I did belong to FoPF and put that down AS JUST ONE of the groups on my application.

  The State Apparently appointed that title upon me.

  I then even spoke to you about my discomfort of Being the FoPF rep… And you said I was the PERFECT PERSON to be the FoPF Rep on the KPAG committee… And you passed many a notes to me in the beginning of the process to get what you wanted done out of the project.

  I also did not say what you are saying in the 400 emails bs.

  July 11th, 2009 at 1:13 am I was reminded I should post the following that was posted publicly by “Rene” at PunaOnline in case others may have missed someone with more background on what is going on with Punaweb:The thing you have to realize about Rob Tucker is that he started Punaweb as a means to generate leads for his business. If you buy products or are thinking about buying products from him you can say whatever you wish on Punaweb, you will never be censored. He duped the Pahoa mainstreet association into sponsoring the website as a means of defering critics of his “lead generation” venture. His dream is to become the all knowing supplier of “green” building products for Hawaii. He also is developing contacts with potential politicians for future public building project contracts that may or may not transpire. He has developed some success but the major candidates he supports are ultimately defeated. He makes a point of indirectly debasing sitting politicians and ridicules dissenting views from his own. His little website has gone to his head and the general public is now begining to see it’s all just smoke and mirrors. I wonder if he avoids the question of FoPF membership numbers much like the Wizzard avoided Dorothy & The Tinman from finding out that he ran Oz? The reason The Mayor won’t meet with Rob Tucker is because Rob Tucker is a joke ! He carries no weight and could at best drum up maybe 10 votes Island wide. I could go down to Bayfront and hand out free Pepsi and get more votes than that if my Tutu helps me. He did this by posting teasers that required following a link to his site where you frequently got a widely available news story. He posted so excessively and annoyingly that limits on posting had to be set. He had to be warned frequently for bad manners and making snarky attacks without provocation other than someone disagreeing or not sharing his views on what the internet should be.

  Just look at this thread, and you’ll get the idea. Is it ADD? Obsessive-compulsive? Narcissism? All of the above? Oh, and those Hawaiian relatives he likes to talk about are his in-laws.

He frequently discusses both, and uses his son’s picture as his icon on his myriad of posts all over the internet. I cringed when I saw the one where Damon talks about his former girlfriends. Nice tribute to the family, Damon. People not in the know probably wonder if the icon represents Damon in his younger days.

  July 11th, 2009 at 10:50 pm I post on Punaweb and am of no use to Rob’s business, no help in politics, but Rob has always been respectful to my concerns. Damon’s advent on Punaweb destroyed harmony, but NOT because he shook up Rob’s iron control. Rather he was rude, snarky, and demanded endless attention. The “all about him” phrase is tired by now, but it reflects Damon’s way of engaging online to a T. You can’t say anything to him to try and help him see that he’s over the top, because that is an attack and that puts him in overdrive. He got deservedly banned from a website that wasn’t a good fit for him. Can’t he let it go and get on with his many projects that he’s so proud of? Damon, stop blowing your own horn, and allow other people to appreciate you if it so happens you impress them. You have your admiring friends around you, but their support in attacking Rob or other “adversaries” merely props up your twisted notion that people wish to injure and defame you. Wrong. Some people just wish to pay attention to other things than you, your blog, and your twittering. Can you not be at peace with that?

He seems to think he’s really doing something big by posting widely-accessible information about people, as though we have some guilty secrets we’re trying to hide. All he’s doing is alienating himself from the community, both online and real time.

  Obviously he’s doing this to other people too. So I suggest to every person who has a negative opinion about this guy – SHUN HIM.

  1) Quit responding to his posts.
  2) Delete his posts from your blogs.
  3) Delete his emails without reading them.
  4) Quit buying into his sick game of “LISTEN TO ME ME ME!”

  If no one is listening, he gets no payoff from his game.

  This is the last post by me anywhere that will mention this loser. I’ve wasted too much time reading and responding to his crap.

  I suggest you do the same. Shun him from the local online community and from the real life community. He’s proven to be a cyber stalker for several people I know of; how long before he turns stalking into real life and does something really deranged?

  If you live in his community, virtual or real, cut him off.

  July 12th, 2009 at 9:34 am Katie, how funny – I am one of those (that heard all the damon rants about that essay contest http://www.winhawaiianhome.com) and INVESTIGATED and ENTERED. lol. I went to their house and had some really great conversations with the couple, they are very forthcoming and gracious and (i’m a little embarrassed to say) I spoke with neighbors about them and everyone had nice things to say. They helped the community organize a fundraiser for that postal lady whose house burnt down and are always offering services to folk in need. Yeah they sure sound like scammers to me. lol. They go to church… maybe thats damons problem since he is an atheist. He has no qualms about spreading lies. I for one know i cant do this life alone. Happy SONday folks. A home (even a $200K home – which is DOUBTFUL that it’s worth THAT little)… for $101 – PRICELESS. And I doubt also that this is going to be a “living” for them… the “income” is going to be used to finish a bed and breakfast to share aloha. It’s all about aloha.

  July 12th, 2009 at 12:00 pm I know for a fact the contest is on the level (I live in Seaview) and this couple has helped me many times on various ocassions. I’ve know them ever since I moved here six years ago. I know if I need anything their answer would always be YES… big hearts. Why would someone post lies about people he never met and knows nothing about? That is my question. Not to not shun him, but I say always try to get to the heart of the matter (even if there seems to be no heart).

  ALL comments critiquing Damon’s online conduct are wasted on Damon. I already know that. I won’t post under my real name or Punaweb name because I don’t want to join the list of people he’s fixated on.

  I posted because I want to say to the reading public that members asked Rob to do something, as moderator, to keep Damon from overwhelming the forum. Rob responded by limiting average posts by any one member. Damon was the only member who had made so many posts he was at the upper limit. That tells you something about how he had monopolized a forum meant for a wide community.

  Damon continued to pick fights with people and play the victim, as he is doing here. Members wrote to Rob and asked him to take back the forum. Rob responded. Now Rob is being painted as a censoring dictator. That is not the case. Rob is very tolerant but he wants a civil forum.

  It was Rob’s suggestion to Damon that if he wanted to post so prolifically about news items, that he should start a blog. Damon did. The blog is bringing Damon a considerable sense of involvement and self-importance. He should just thank Rob for steering him towards a new medium, and let the bitterness go.

  Instead he feels compelled to gripe about Rob’s management of Rob’s forum – on a new online community where the members support his conviction that Rob done poor Damon wrong. Oh, the drama of it all. ‘Nuff already.

  July 12th, 2009 at 1:09 pm Tiffany… actually we are all in the same room using the same computer (we are all neighbors) and everyone wanted to give their 2 cents… anyway, thanks for allowing us to share – we are/were DONE anyway, this is time we will never be able to get back wasted on HIM… but it’s important for our neighbors to know that the contest and those people are on the level, trying to think outside the box and not be victims. Aloha and mahalo for letting us share!
