Hi Damon, Ididn’t use your pics because Pepsi ha a rule that everyone in the pics has to sign that it’s ok to use their picture. I didn’t get in as the first 1,000 on June 1, 2010, will be trying again on July 1, 2010 in which case the voting would start August 1, to August 31, 2010 for one month. To register to vote go to http://www.refresheverything.com. Would appreciate all the help I can get from your readers to vote for my $250,000 Pepsi Refresh grant .The purpose of the grant is to put in solar water heaters at Hilo and Pahoa pool and photovoltaic system in the future, subisdize the Free Bus and to supply hygiene items to the shelters and churches that are feeding the hungry now. Once you are registered you can vote 10 times a day but only once for any one idea. I figure I will need 1,000 plus votes a day for 30 days to get the grant. I’m applying for a $250,000 grant from Pepsi Refresh to provide hot showers at the Pahoa and Hilo pools, subsidize the free Bus and to provide hygiene items to the Salvation Army and churches that feed the hungry. Could I use two of your pool photos to attach to my grant? Information for the grant process can be found at http://www.pepsirefresh.com. If I am confirmed as one of the first 1,000 grants received, the voting would start July 1, 2010. The grant request with the most votes gets the grant. I will let you know as I know more. I go there 6-8 times a month to lap swim and do some other water exercises. It’s really a great pool for the community. Craig, Mark, and the rest of the lifeguard staff are friendly and very attentive to everyone’s safety. Great facilities and much needed warm showers available as it does get a bit chilly at times. They really should heat it if they can.

My main concern is in the parking lot, where loiterers do a bit more than just eat their lunches under the trees. I’m constantly double-checking the locks on the doors of my truck. Otherwise, a great place to get some exercise or to cool off during the summer months.
