Why Does the East Side of the Big Island Get Shafted for Entertainment?

Well once again the annual Big Island Film Festival is going on again.  Of course it’s happening on the OTHER side of the island at the Waikoloa.

Of course this wouldn’t be the first time or the second time we’ve been shafted for entertainment on the East side of the Island.

I sure wish the Big Island Film Festival would be held on both sides of the island.

Maybe we need to start up a Puna Film Festival?

What types of films would be popular to a Puna crowd?  Would enough people attend so that we could bring in some world class films?

My mind is  spinning… I see a light bulb above my head.

  2. The Rainbow Film festival is coming later this month to the Palace Theater.

Why a Puna Film Festival? Why not get more specific and make it a Kea’au film festival or a VOLCANO FILM FESTIVAL? That sounds so much more cooler. It can be held at that place where they had the Democratic Convention. And UH Hilo students can submit films, as well as community members!

    project????
