In case you missed it, there is a Pahoa gauge listed on the first link.
Damon – I didn’t even think to click on the link that you had provided… Doh! That’s a great link. I wish they had an RSS feed for that specific site.
For a look at the rainfall for the past 24 hours (broken down in by stages) see:

For a look at the past three days at a few selected stations:

The latter shows that Hilo Airport received more than 15 inches over the past two days. Pretty soggy.
At our home in Orchidland we received 9.31 inches yesterday and a total of 13.41 inches over the past two days.
Damon – Dang!!! I wish there were official stations closer to Pahoa. It has been a wet few days. Thanks for the update in your neck of the RIVER.
Even more rain fell d;uring the night of Aug. 7-8, and is still continuing at ten a.m. My rain gauge maxed out at ;7.5″ for the 24 hours preceding nine o’clock

Lived along the bayfront (over the ’singing bridge’) a couple of years ago when I was controller for Lex Brodie’s so rainy Hilo is a very familiar site… but that’s amazing re the record number of inches!
