Yoshimoto Wants to Keep Contingency Funds

In today’s West Hawaii Today, it reports Council Chair Yoshimoto as wanting to keep the contingency funds active for the council members.

…Yoshimoto said one of the things he does want Kenoi to include in the proposed budget is an allocation for council contingency relief funds.

This fiscal year, which runs from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009, there is $100,000 for each county district included in the budget that council members can use for smaller projects.

Yoshimoto said he believes it is important the council continue to receive this money, but Crawford said it hasn’t been determined yet whether there will be enough…”
