Puna Sustainability Expo Not Sustainable?

Today was suppose to be the following Expo:

Malama o Puna and the Kanaka Council are co-sponsoring a sustainability expo on Saturday and Sunday, September 27th and 28th under the tents across Pahoa Village Road from Pahoa Feed & Fertilizer. This two-day event is in response to the current recession, high gas prices and spin-offs from same, and the need for us all to become more self-sufficient in our personal lives and as an island community.

I just drove there and there isn’t anything set up!

I went on to do some shopping at Malama Market, and on the way back, I noticed someone putting up a sign that said that it’s going to be the weekend of November 1st and 2nd.

This is now the second time it’s been pushed back.  The first time was suppose to be August 16-17th and August 23 & 24.

  1. That is a horrible spectulation and a very unsuitable comment. People are trying to get together and form a community and these kind of comments are exactly what we DO NOT NEED TO HEAR. We are supposed to cultivate hope!! Give love, irradicate the negativity that is currently surrounding us and stop acting out of fear!

    OXOXOXOX

been working toward acquiring acreage for other events and a permanent arts and sciences school.
